Halfway the Dorpsstraat is the oldest building of Vlieland. It was built shortly after 1575. Museum Tromp's Huys is located here since 1956 .

Tromp's Huys was from 1896 the home of the couple Akersloot. The originally Norwegian Betzy Akersloot-Berg had her own studio in the back, the beautiful garden with an unobstructed view over the Zuiderzee. The museum has many of her paintings and sketches in possession.

Tromp's Huys organizes various excursions. There is every thursday the Markante Monumenten Wandeling. For all tour-dates please check the list of activities.
